  • 1 package 14 oz Lil' Smokies sausages
  • ½ cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce Gluten-free soy sauce or tamari can be used.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package 12 count mini phyllo pastry cups
  • to taste Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients. Chop green onions for garnish and mince garlic.

Cooking the Base

  • In a medium saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring until well combined. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Add the Sausages

  • Stir in the Lil' Smokies, ensuring they are coated in the glaze. Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.

Prepare for Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange mini phyllo pastry cups on a baking sheet.

Fill the Cups

  • Carefully spoon Lil' Smokies into each pastry cup and drizzle some glaze over them.

Baking

  • Bake filled cups for 10 to 12 minutes until golden-brown and crispy.

Garnishing

  • Let cool slightly and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, bake from frozen with extended cooking time.
