  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Ensure they are ripe and sweet.
  • ¼ cup strawberry puree Enhances strawberry flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and allow them to sit at room temperature.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the red velvet cake crumbs with melted butter until thoroughly coated.
  • Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  • Bake the crust at 325°F (160°C) for 10 minutes.

Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in sour cream and strawberry puree until well combined.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the baked crust and spread evenly.

Baking
