  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 1-2 tsp Irish cream liqueur Like Baileys, or 1 tsp vanilla extract for non-alcoholic option
  • 12 oz green candy melts Or substitute with white chocolate and add green food coloring
  • assorted green, white, and orange sprinkles For decoration

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients, ensuring the cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they turn into fine crumbs.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the crushed Oreo cookies to the softened cream cheese and mix until sticky dough forms.
  • If using, add Irish cream liqueur at this stage.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • Once chilled, roll about one tablespoon of the mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill the rolled balls in the fridge or freezer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to package instructions.
  • Dip each chilled ball into the melted coating and place them back on parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle the tops with green, white, and orange sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  • Let the truffles sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until the coating sets.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. These truffles can also be frozen for longer preservation.
