  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather all ingredients and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Spread the butter mixture generously on one side of each Texas toast slice.
  • Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the buttered sides.
  • Arrange slices on a baking sheet, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let cool for 1–2 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chopped jalapeños, crispy bacon bits, or a drizzle of pesto before baking. You can also use sourdough or ciabatta instead of Texas toast.
