Ingredients
  

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon divided
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add egg, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  • Sprinkle in flour, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Gently fold until just combined.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon with granulated sugar. Sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting out and slicing into bars.

Notes

For variation, add white chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter before baking.
