Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  • Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg mixture, then in breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer seared chicken to a baking dish. Mix remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic; spread over chicken.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter crust, use panko breadcrumbs. Add fresh lemon juice before serving for a flavor boost. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days or can be frozen for 3 months.
