Ingredients
  

Bottom Layer

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup shredded coconut

Custard Layer

  • ½ cup custard powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk

Chocolate Topping

  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
  • Add the cocoa powder and egg, mixing until well combined.
  • Stir in the graham cracker crumbs and shredded coconut until fully incorporated.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8×8 inch pan to form the base layer.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the custard powder and powdered sugar. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
  • Spread the custard layer evenly over the base layer.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the custard layer and spread evenly.
  • Refrigerate the bars for at least 2–3 hours until firm before slicing and serving.

Notes

Chilling time is important for the layers to set properly. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
