Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 2 cups fresh fruit berries, apples, or peaches, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar to taste
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Optional Additions

  • cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions and prepare ingredients.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut pastry into squares or rectangles for individual desserts.
  • Place a spoonful of fruit in the center of each square. Sprinkle with sugar and any desired spices.
  • Fold and seal the edges of the pastry. Crimp edges with a fork for decoration.
  • Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Cool slightly on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a vegan option, use plant-based puff pastry and brush with almond milk instead of egg. Try mixing different fruits or adding chocolate chips for creative variations.
