Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking dish
  • Oven

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Italian-style preferred
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated for best flavor
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin preferred
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano chopped (or 1 tsp dried oregano)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare shrimp by peeling and deveining if not already done.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and slightly moist.
  • Arrange shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish. Spoon the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp, covering completely.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges for a bright, fresh finish.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or top with melted butter before baking. Pair with garlic bread, salad, or pasta. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
