Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture. Stir gently until well blended.
  • Fold in chocolate chips for extra richness.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  • Let the dessert cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and slicing into squares.

Notes

For a twist, add a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor or swirl in melted caramel before baking. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a week.
