Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mixing the Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Creaming the Butter Mixture

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture and beat until smooth.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture and blend until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

Shaping and Baking

  • Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving enough space for spreading.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and centers are slightly soft.
  • Sprinkle heart-shaped sprinkles over the warm cookies immediately after removing them from the oven.
