Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups strawberries chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Measure all other ingredients and set aside.
  • Combine the chopped strawberries with sugar in a bowl. Stir gently and let sit for 10 minutes to draw out juices.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Fold the strawberry mixture and chocolate chips into the cream base until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–30 minutes or until soft-serve consistency.
  • Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 3–4 hours to firm up.
  • Serve in bowls or cones with extra strawberries or chocolate syrup on top.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut cream and almond milk instead of dairy. Store ice cream in a tightly sealed container for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving for a softer texture. Add chocolate swirl or nuts for variety.
