Ingredients
  

Cake Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

Filling & Topping

  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped
  • fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
  • Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  • Divide batter evenly into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool cakes completely on a wire rack.
  • Spread strawberry jam between cake layers.
  • Frost the top and sides with whipped cream.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries, slice, and serve.

Notes

This cake can be prepared a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For variations, try raspberries or blueberries instead of strawberries, or add lemon zest to the batter for a fresh twist.
