Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Small bowl for dressing
  • Whisk
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife

Ingredients

Fruit

  • 2 medium apples chopped, skin on
  • 2 medium pears chopped, skin on
  • 2 oranges or mandarins peeled and segmented
  • 1 pomegranate seeds removed
  • 2 medium kiwis peeled and chopped

Dressing

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed

Optional Add-ins

  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • chopped nuts such as walnuts or pistachios
  • orange juice splash, for extra citrus flavor

Instructions

  • Wash and prepare all fruits. Chop apples, pears, and kiwis into bite-sized pieces and segment oranges.
  • Cut the pomegranate in half and tap the back with a spoon to release the seeds. Remove any white pith.
  • In a large bowl, combine all prepared fruits. Gently toss to mix without crushing the citrus segments.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey and lemon juice until smooth and well blended.
  • Pour the dressing over the fruits and toss gently to coat evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 4–6 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss and garnish with fresh mint leaves or extra pomegranate seeds.

Notes

Store the salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. For best texture, add dressing right before serving. For a vegan option, replace honey with agave or maple syrup. Avoid freezing, as the fruits may become mushy once thawed.
