Ingredients
  

Beef Bulgogi

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye thinly sliced against the grain
  • cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Asian pear grated (or apple)
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, grated pear, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  • Add sliced beef and onion to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the marinated beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until cooked through and lightly caramelized.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve bulgogi with steamed rice, lettuce wraps, or alongside kimchi for an authentic Korean meal.
