  • Gather all ingredients. Rinse fresh mulberries under cold water and pat them dry. Zest two lemons before juicing.

Cooking the Base

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves to form a simple syrup.

Adding Citrus Flavor

  • Remove saucepan from heat and stir in lemon juice and zest.

Pureeing the Mulberries

  • Blend mulberries in a high-speed blender until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if desired.

Combining Mixtures

  • Add mulberry puree to the lemon syrup and stir until well combined.

Freezing Process

  • Pour mixture into a shallow dish, spread evenly, and freeze. Stir vigorously after 30 minutes to break ice crystals.
  • Return to freezer for another hour, stirring every 30 minutes until semi-firm.
  • Allow sorbet to freeze completely after about 2 hours.

Serving

  • Scoop sorbet into bowls or glasses, garnishing with mint leaves or additional berries if desired.
