Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients for your Lobster Shaped Cake. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a lobster-shaped cake pan.

Baking the Cake

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  • Add a few drops of red food coloring and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decoration

Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or in the fridge for up to a week. For best texture, freeze wrapped tightly.
