  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Measure the rice flour, water, sugar, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and sesame seeds. Ensure everything is at room temperature for better mixing.

Base Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, sugar, and water. Stir well until there are no lumps and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour in the coconut milk and add the vanilla extract. Continue stirring until the mixture is homogenous and silky.

Steaming

  • Grease your steaming dish with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Carefully pour the smooth batter into the greased dish.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds generously across the top of the mixture.
  • Set your dish in the steamer and cover, steaming for about 30 minutes.
  • Once finished, remove the steaming dish and let it cool at room temperature.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat by steaming.
