For the Mango Lassi

  • 2 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced Use ripe mangoes for best flavor.
  • 1 cup plain yogurt Greek yogurt for a thicker consistency.
  • ½ cup milk Regular or any plant-based milk can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste; can substitute with honey or maple syrup.
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder Optional; can substitute with vanilla extract.
  • as needed Ice cubes Optional for chilling the drink.

Preparation

  • Start by washing your mangoes thoroughly. Peel them and cut them into small, manageable pieces.
  • In a blender, combine the diced mangoes, plain yogurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom powder.
  • Blend the mixture on high speed until it achieves a smooth, creamy consistency.
  • Taste the mixture and see if you need to adjust the sweetness. Add more sugar or sweetener if necessary, and blend again to combine.
  • If you prefer your lassi cold, add ice cubes to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the Mango Lassi into tall glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom or some diced mango on top.
  • If you have leftovers, store them in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within a day.
  • Enjoy your lassi and savor each sip!

Notes

Best served chilled and can be customized with various spices or fruits. Ideal for pairing with spicy dishes or as a refreshing standalone drink.
