Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, measuring out the butter, sugars, eggs, and dry ingredients.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  • Take a portion of the cookie dough, flatten it, place a few mini marshmallows in the center, and wrap the dough around the marshmallows.
  • Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow them to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze the cookie dough balls before baking. Ensure not to overbake for softer cookies.
