  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Glaze Ingredients

  • cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for glaze)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients and tools.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, and milk. Mix until well blended.
  • Add breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Mix gently.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a greased baking sheet or in a greased loaf pan.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for the glaze. Stir until combined.
  • Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.
  • After 40 minutes, spoon the remaining glaze over the meatloaf and return to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice and serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
