Ingredients
  

  • 1 package gnocchi 16 oz (450 g), store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus extra for serving
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked gnocchi and sauté for 2–3 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir gently to coat the gnocchi evenly.
  • Add grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the gnocchi, about 3–5 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen it.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and extra Parmesan.

Notes

For extra flavor, add grilled chicken, sautéed mushrooms, or roasted vegetables. To make it vegan, use plant-based cream and cheese alternatives. Serve with a crisp white wine like Pinot Grigio or a bold Chianti.
