  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Optional for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure the butter is softened at room temperature.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with garlic powder, parsley, salt, and black pepper, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the halves connected.

Assembly

  • Spread the butter mixture generously on the cut side of each roll.
  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
  • Gently press the top half back on the rolls.
  • Arrange the filled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Brush any remaining butter mixture on top of the rolls.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead and stored in airtight containers. Experiment with different cheeses or add toppings like jalapeños or bacon for variety.
