Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 240 g
  • ½ tsp baking powder 2 g
  • ½ tsp baking soda 2 g
  • ½ tsp salt 2.5 g
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened, 170 g
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 100 g
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed, 150 g
  • 1 egg large, room temperature
  • ½ tbsp vanilla extract 7.5 ml
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips 175 g
  • 1 cup M&M’s 200 g

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  • Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Stir in mini chocolate chips and M&M’s.
  • Form dough into balls (about 3 tbsp each) and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Use seasonal M&M colors for festive variations. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
