  • 1 piece pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini work well)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère or cheddar recommended)
  • ½ cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • Gather all your ingredients. Chop the mushrooms, dice the onion, and crumble the cooked bacon. Lay out your pie crust in your pie dish.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the diced onions and mushrooms, and sauté them for 5-7 minutes until they are softened and fragrant.
  • While your mushrooms and onions are cooking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and add the heavy cream, followed by salt and pepper to taste. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese, sautéed mushrooms, onions, and crumbled bacon until well combined.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and evenly distribute the filling.
  • Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • After baking, allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the quiche into manageable pieces and serve.
