  • 1 sheet puff pastry Thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup Nutella Can be warmed for easier spreading
  • 1 large egg For egg wash
  • to taste Powdered sugar For dusting
  • to taste Festive sprinkles or chocolate drizzle Optional toppings

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut the pastry into a Christmas tree shape with a triangle and a trunk.

Assembly

  • Spread Nutella over half of the pastry tree, leaving edges for sealing.
  • Fold the unspread half over the Nutella-covered half and pinch edges to seal.
  • Cut slits along the folded edge of the tree shape to create branches.
  • Brush the top of the pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Baking

  • Place the pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Finishing Touches

  • Allow the tree to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
  • Decorate with sprinkles or chocolate drizzle if desired.

Notes

Best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator.
