Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz macaroni
  • 1 cup smoky sausage sliced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced smoky sausage and cook until browned.
  • Add macaroni, chicken broth, milk, and Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is tender.
  • Remove skillet from heat and gradually stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce. You can also substitute smoked sausage with turkey sausage or plant-based options. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
