Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cups powdered sugar Gradually mix into cream cheese
  • 1 cups heavy cream Whip to stiff peaks
  • 0.5 cups fresh orange juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1 tbsp orange zest For added flavor
  • 0.5 cups orange jelly or glaze For topping

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Making the Crust

  • In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well mixed. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until it turns light golden brown. Remove from oven and let it cool completely.

Making the Filling

  • Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Pour in fresh orange juice and add orange zest. Stir until incorporated.

Assembling and Chilling

  • Once the crust is cooled, pour the cream cheese filling over it and spread evenly.
  • Place the assembled dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.

Finishing Touches

  • After setting, spread the orange jelly or glaze over the top.
  • Remove from the pan, cut into squares, and serve chilled.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For freezing, wrap individual bars in plastic wrap and store them in a freezer-safe container for up to two months.
