  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure you have fresh oranges for juicing and zesting. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them until combined with sugar.

Cooking

  • In a saucepan, combine the whisked eggs and sugar. Place it over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Once the egg and sugar mixture is warmed, stir in the fresh orange juice and zest. Continue cooking while stirring.
  • Continue to cook over medium heat until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the unsalted butter until melted and smooth.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before transferring to a jar or container.

Storage
