Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (about 14.3 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate (milk or dark, as preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, including Oreo cookies, cream cheese, chocolate for coating, and optional ingredients like vanilla extract or sprinkles.
  • Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse them until they become fine crumbs, or crush them in a zip-top bag using a rolling pin.
  • In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls, about one inch in size, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to help set the mixture.
  • Melt your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate using a fork to coat evenly, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  • If using sprinkles, add them while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Allow the chocolate-covered Oreo Balls to sit until the chocolate hardens, or place them in the fridge to speed up the process.
  • Once the chocolate has set, enjoy your Oreo Balls or store them for later.

Notes

Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage, using wax paper between layers if needed.
