Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure the milk is warmed to around 110°F.
  • In a bowl, sprinkle the yeast over the warm milk and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and sugar.
  • Cut the room-temperature butter into small cubes. Add the butter to the dry mixture.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Pour in the activated yeast mixture, lightly beaten eggs, and Oreo crumbs.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the kneaded dough into a ball and place it in a greased mixing bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for one hour.

Filling and Baking

  • While the dough rises, make the filling by beating together the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Spread the filling evenly across the surface of the rolled dough.
  • Carefully roll the dough into a log and cut it into 12 equal rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 pan and let them rise for an additional 35 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 19–22 minutes.

Glazing

  • Prepare the glaze by beating together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, Oreo crumbs, and vanilla extract into the mixture until well blended.
  • Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.

Notes

Store the rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
