Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients together to make the process seamless.
  • Measure out 2 cups of heavy cream, 8 oz of softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and crush 15 Oreo cookies into smaller pieces.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, mix until creamy.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.

Combining

  • Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies gently to ensure even distribution.

Serving

  • Spoon the mousse into individual glasses or bowls.
  • Top with extra Oreo crumbs or whole cookie pieces if desired.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese. Ensure the cream cheese is soft for a smooth texture. Can also add mint or peanut butter for variations.
