Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to make the cooking process smoother.
  • Dice the garlic, measure out the chicken broth, and grate the Parmesan cheese.

Cooking

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the orzo pasta and chicken broth, bringing to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Incorporate the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese into the orzo once most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring until creamy.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the pan, mixing well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

To modify for dietary needs, consider turkey or tofu instead of chicken, and coconut milk for a dairy-free version. Adjust pasta to gluten-free if necessary. Ensure to monitor cooking times closely to avoid overcooking the chicken.
