Ingredients
  

French Toast Casserole

  • 1 loaf French bread cubed
  • 3 ripe bananas sliced
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt

Topping

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange bread cubes evenly in the dish and layer sliced bananas on top.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Pour egg mixture evenly over bread. Press gently to ensure all bread is soaked.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then drizzle over casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until golden and set in the center.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh berries. Great for holidays and weekend brunch.
