Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Nonstick skillet or griddle
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Pancake Base Batter

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

Flavor Variations

  • ½ cup blueberries for Blueberry Pancakes
  • ½ cup chocolate chips for Chocolate Chip Pancakes
  • 1 banana, mashed for Banana Pancakes
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional for spice flavor

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Add milk, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Whisk until smooth but don’t overmix — a few small lumps are fine.
  • Fold in any flavor additions, such as blueberries, chocolate chips, or mashed banana.
  • Heat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour about ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges start to dry, then flip and cook until golden on both sides.
  • Serve warm with butter, syrup, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

You can create endless flavor combinations — try strawberry shortcake, cinnamon roll, or lemon poppy seed pancakes. Adjust sugar based on your toppings.
