Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

Mixing the Batter

  • In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy (3-4 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pears.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Serving

  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired, slice, and serve.

Notes
