Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients for a smoother cooking process.
  • Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry.
  • Measure out spices, broth, and pepperoncini.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chicken breasts, cooking for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Lay pepperoncini peppers over the chicken and pour fresh chicken broth into the skillet.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  • Check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should be 165°F.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after cooking.
  • Slice and serve warm, drizzled with the sauce from the skillet.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For freezing, store in a freezer-safe container.
