Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 whole eggs
  • 60 g reduced-fat cheese, grated Approximately 2 oz
  • 1 tbsp passata About 15g
  • A few slices salami Approximately 20g
  • to taste mixed herbs For topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients, tools, and utensils. You’ll need a non-stick frying pan, a whisk, and a spatula.
  • Sprinkle half the grated cheese evenly across the non-stick frying pan over medium heat to serve as your pizza base.
  • While waiting for the cheese to melt, crack the 3 eggs into a bowl and whisk them until smooth and uniform.

Cooking

  • Once the cheese has melted, gently pour the whisked eggs over the crispy cheese.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and allow the eggs to cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is firm and golden.
  • Carefully flip the egg-cheese base using a spatula, or slide it onto a plate and then flip it back into the pan.
  • Spread the passata evenly over the cooked side, layer on the salami slices, and cover with the remaining grated cheese.
  • Cover the pan again and let it cook for 3-5 minutes, allowing the cheese and toppings to heat up and melt.

Serving

  • Once the cheese is melted and the toppings are warm, carefully remove the Pizza Eggs from the pan using a spatula.
  • Sprinkle some mixed herbs on top and slice into wedges if desired. Serve immediately for the best flavor!
