Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless ham
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by gathering all your ingredients together.
  • Set your oven to preheat at 300°F (150°C).

Cooking

  • Place your boneless ham in a roasting pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Pour your sauce mixture over the ham, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Cover the roasting pan tightly with foil and bake for 2-3 hours.
  • Check the ham halfway through to ensure it’s cooking evenly, basting with the juices.

Finishing

  • Once cooked, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Using two forks, shred the ham into bite-sized pieces.
  • Serve the pulled ham warm on buns or alongside your favorite sides.

Notes

For a sweeter version, use maple syrup or honey instead of brown sugar. Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes for added heat.
