  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns

Spicy Maple Drizzle

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients including chopping the onion finely.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, pumpkin puree, chopped onion, cheddar cheese, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix gently until blended; avoid overworking the meat.

Cooking

  • Form the mixture into four equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach desired doneness.
  • In a small bowl, mix maple syrup and hot sauce to create the spicy maple drizzle.
  • Toast hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Notes
