  • ¼ cup melted butter Can use coconut oil for dairy-free option.
  • 1 large egg Can substitute with flaxseed meal mixture for vegan option.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  • Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the shaped dough balls on the baking sheet with space in between.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For additional flavor, incorporate herbs, a sprinkle of sea salt, or shredded cheese into the dough. Brew some melted butter for a rich finish.
