  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

Toppings

  • 1 cup Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (roughly chopped)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional) For added flavor

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and supplies, ensuring your workspace is tidy.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan using butter or non-stick spray.

Making the Cake

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and eggs. Mix until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until velvety.
  • Pour half of the chocolate batter into the prepared baking pan. Drop dollops of the peanut butter mixture on top, spreading it slightly.
  • Pour the remaining chocolate batter over the peanut butter layer, ensuring it is evenly spread.
  • Sprinkle the chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and optional chocolate chips on top.

Baking

  • Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes
