Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base

  • 48 Ritz crackers about 2 sleeves
  • 12 slices deli ham cut into quarters
  • 6 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese cut into quarters

Glaze

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp poppy seeds optional
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar optional for sweet glaze

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay half the Ritz crackers (salted side down) on the baking sheet. Top each with a piece of ham and a piece of cheese.
  • Place another Ritz cracker (salted side up) on top to form mini sandwiches.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and honey or brown sugar (if using).
  • Brush each sandwich generously with the glaze mixture.
  • Bake for 7–9 minutes or until the cheese melts and the tops are golden brown.
  • Let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

These sandwiches can be customized with turkey, chicken, or vegetarian fillings. Try adding fresh herbs to the butter glaze or swapping Dijon for BBQ sauce for a flavor twist. They’re best served fresh but can be reheated at 350°F for 5 minutes. Freeze before baking for up to 2 months.
