Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 1 block cream cheese, softened (8 oz / 225 g) Ensure it's at room temperature.

Coating and Decorations

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
  • Mini pretzels (for antlers)
  • Red pieces gumdrops, red Sixlets, or red M&Ms (for nose)
  • 12 pieces lollipop sticks or paper straws (red + white striped look)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  • Add the whole Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs are formed. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Mix the softened cream cheese with the Oreo crumbs until a soft dough forms that holds together when pressed.
  • Roll the dough into 12 medium-sized balls and place them on a lined tray.
  • Chill the tray in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.
  • Melt the milk chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring in between until smooth. Add coconut oil for a glossier finish.

Assembly

  • Insert a lollipop stick into each chilled ball and dip into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Press mini pretzel halves into the top of each pop for antlers.
  • Add white candy eyes and a red candy for the nose.
  • Let the pops harden for 5–10 minutes at room temperature or 5 minutes in the fridge.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can be made in advance and frozen for up to three months. Avoid using cold cream cheese for better mixing and don’t skip the chilling step to maintain shape.
