  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 whole bag
  • 8 oz pretzels about half of a 16-oz bag
  • 11 oz Kraft caramels 1 whole bag
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Sea salt for sprinkling
  • Parchment paper for lining the baking sheet

Preparation

  • Ensure your kitchen area is clean and organized. Gather your ingredients and measuring cups. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.

Melting Chocolate

  • Place 12 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until melted and smooth.

Assembling the Bark

  • Spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Place the 8 oz of pretzels haphazardly on top of the melted chocolate, pressing down gently.
  • In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the 11 oz Kraft caramels with the 2 tbsp of heavy cream. Heat for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted caramel over the arranged pretzels.
  • Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pretzels.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top before it sets.

Setting and Serving

  • Chill the bark in the fridge for about 30 minutes until firm or leave it out at room temperature for about 2 hours.
  • Once set, remove from the baking sheet and cut into bite-sized pieces. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months. Customize with different toppings or flavors as desired.
