  • 2 cups pretzels Use fresh pretzels for the best texture.
  • 1 cup caramel candies Melted with water.
  • 2 tablespoons water To melt the caramel.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for better flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt Sprinkled on top before chocolate sets.

Preparation

  • Gather and pre-measure your pretzels, caramel candies, and chocolate chips.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Baking

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • In a saucepan, combine the caramel candies and water. Melt over low heat, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once melted, pour caramel over the pretzels and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes until caramel is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately spread chocolate chips over the hot caramel.
  • Allow chocolate to melt slightly, then spread evenly over the caramel.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top before it sets.

Cooling

  • Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until set.

Serving

  • Once set, break into pieces and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. This treat can also be frozen for later enjoyment. Consider adding nuts or dripping white chocolate for variations.
