  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips You can use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt For sprinkling on top.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: pretzels, caramel candies, chocolate chips, and sea salt.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the pretzels evenly in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel candies and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir continuously for about 5-8 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the melted caramel over the pretzels, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes or until the caramel starts to bubble.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the hot caramel. Let sit a few minutes to soften.
  • Spread the melted chocolate over the caramel layer with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle sea salt over the top of the chocolate.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to the refrigerator to set for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Once set, break into pieces of your desired size.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Can also be frozen for longer storage.
