  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 cups shredded cheese Cheddar or any preferred blend.
  • 6 cups cubed bread Use stale bread for better soaking.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients for smooth preparation.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the breakfast sausage. Cook until browned and crumbly, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  • Add the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, and cubed bread to the egg mixture. Gently stir until the bread is fully coated.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.

Serving

  • Cut into squares and serve warm with fresh fruit or hash browns.

Notes

You can customize by adding vegetables or swapping cheeses. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days or freeze for longer storage.
