Main Ingredients

  • 1 piece English muffin (any flavor you prefer)
  • 1 patty sausage patty (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 piece egg (medium or large)
  • 1 slice American cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (for greasing the skillet)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: English muffin, sausage patty, egg, cheese, and butter.

Cooking

  • Split the English muffin in half and toast both sides until golden brown.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a little butter and place the sausage patty in the pan. Cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side.
  • In the same skillet, make space to crack an egg. Cook until the whites are set, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of the egg and cover the skillet for a minute to help the cheese melt.
  • On one half of the toasted English muffin, place the sausage patty and then the cheesy egg on top.
  • Top with the other half of the English muffin. Optionally spread a small amount of butter on the outer side.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Sausage Egg Cheese McMuffin.
