Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the baguette into uniform pieces, about half an inch thick.
  • Peel and devein the shrimp, ensuring they are ready for cooking.
  • Mince the garlic and set all ingredients aside.

Preheating

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Baking

  • Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

Cooking

  • In a large pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Avocado Mixture

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork and mix in the lime juice, salt, and pepper.

Assembly

  • Spread a generous layer of the avocado mixture on each toasted baguette slice.
  • Top each slice generously with the sautéed shrimp.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro.

Notes

When storing leftovers, keep the crostini separate from the avocado mixture to maintain the crispness of the bread. Enjoy fresh for the best taste.
